The Supporting Road Maintenance and Traffic Assurance Project for the Sichuan-Tibet Railway
Project Background
The supporting road along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway traverses areas with complex geological conditions, where frequent natural disasters including landslides, collapses, and debris flows have escalated in recent years. To ensure transportation resilience, it is imperative to implement comprehensive safety monitoring systems across bridges and critical highway maintenance sections along the corridor.
Project Solution
For bridges and road slopes along the route, visual deformation instrument, GNSS, displacement sensors, and inclinometers are combined to monitor key indicators like displacement and deformation. This ensures timely detection of anomalies and safeguards traffic safety.
Project Outcomes
By establishing an automated monitoring system, the project enables 24/7 dynamic monitoring of bridges and road slopes. Combining real-time data analysis with manual inspections, it provides early warnings and emergency responses, mitigates major safety risks, enhances structural monitoring, and offers scientific support for road operation safety and maintenance decisions.
